Dani Pedrosa Absent at the Catalunya

Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa certainly absent at the Catalunya Circuit, Spain, next weekend, June 5, 2011. This decision was taken because Pedrosa injured collarbone after an accident with Marco Simoncelli in the Le Mans circuit in mid-May.

Absence is believed the two rival Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo and Casey Stoner, will affect the audience and the course of the race. The reason, Pedrosa is the host driver in Catalunya.

“In my opinion, the audience must be quiet on a Sunday (5 June) later. We all wish Daniel could be back as soon as possible because he is one of the key drivers,” said Lorenzo as reported by the official website of the FIM.

While Stoner, who is in the Honda rider Pedrosa’s team mate would have tested the Catalunya Circuit alone with Andrea Dovizioso. Stoner himself in a condition less fit after contracting the flu.

“He (Pedrosa) is very fast driver and I hope he can race here (Catalunya),” Stoner said.

Not yet certain when Pedrosa will be back onto the track. However, the man who never travel to Indonesia is expected to be recovered before the British GP at Silverstone Circuit on 12 June.
