Casey Stoner Satisfied with the results in GP Valencia
Casey Stoner had to wait until the last minute to come out as champions in the MotoGP Valencia. He also admitted satisfied with the results he achieves.
At the last race at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit , Sunday night (11/06/2011) , Casey Stoner getting resistance from Ben Spies tight. Both Stoner and Spies doing a good start. Stoner raced from the first position, while Spies immediately step on the gas from the third position.
When Spies looks will win the second race this season, Stoner with trengginas menggeber his Honda. Right at the finish line, he was followed Spies to ensure victory.
The Australian rider to win by just 0.015 seconds ahead of Spies.
“Ben passed me after I did a little mistake and step on neutral gear, and he looked great. He passed the turn properly and smoothly,” said Stoner as reported by Autosport.
Stoner himself initially admitted to not want to take too many risks involved in the race. However, given that Valencia is the last series this season, he was immediately menggeber bike on the last lap.
“In half of the last lap I thought, ‘This is it, this is the last lap for us this season’. Then, I immediately decided to go and take a few risks, which I had never taken throughout the season.”
“I apologize to Ben, but we are happy to end the season like this,” he said.
Thanks to this victory, Stoner recorded 10 victories throughout the season. He also led the final drivers standings with 90 poins advantage over Jorge Lorenzo.
